The makers of the upcoming film Masaan` have released a making video featuring director Neeraj Ghaywan and the crew shooting in the beautiful city of Benaras. The cast was left surprised by the warm welcome of this humble city. The video also showcases how the spiritual, traditional side of the holy city as it pulls against the rebellious spirit of its youth.

Masaan is the winner of the FIPRESCI prize and Promising Future Award in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes 2015, MASAAN has been directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. The film revolves around Four characters whose lives intersect along the Ganges: a low caste boy in hopeless love, a young woman ridden with guilt of a sexual encounter ending in a tragedy, a hapless father with fading morality, and a spirited child yearning for a family. The film follows their dreams and struggles to escape the moral constructs of a small town. Set against the divine landscape of Banaras, 'Masaan' is touted as a 'celebration of life, death and everything in between'.

Produced by Drishyam Films, Phantom Films, Macassar Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, the film stars Richa Chadha, Sanjay Mishra, Vicky Kaushal and Shweta Tripathi. MASAAN is set for release on July 24, 2015.
