Pankaj Kapoor’s debut directorial ‘Mausam’ featuring his son Shahid and Sonam Kapoor in the lead is expected to go on floors in May. The shooting schedule is said to go on till June end.

For this, the team will fly off to Edinburgh. And there is an interesting story behind this choice of locale, which our birdies found out…

The film being set in the backdrop of Kashmir, the director had obvious plans to shoot in this picturesque state. However, due to security reasons the plan was cancelled. The team then decided to shoot in an overseas location that would resemble Kashmir. And finally they chose Edinburgh of Scotland to signify Kashmir.

Incidentally, birdies also revealed that Supriya Pathak (director’s second wife) will play Sonam's aunt in the film.
