As we all know director Venkat Prabhu is currently busy shooting 'Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings' the sequel to his blockbuster debut flick released in 2007.The sequel retains almost all of the cast members of its first part and also has the presence of actors like Vaibhav and Mahath the actors who made their acting debut with Venkat Prabhu's 'Saroja' and 'Mankatha'.

The film's shoot has been progressing for the past several months and now we learn from a reliable source that 90% of the shoot has been completed. Just a song and part of a cricket match sequence remains to be shot for the film.

The film produced by Venkat Prabhu under his Black Ticket Company banner will have musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
