MITHYA releases coming Friday i.e. 8th February and by now the promos have given a good enough indication of the film being a funny amalgamation of Bollywood and underworld.

As per the film's director Rajat Kapoor (RAGHU ROMEO, MIXED DOUBLES), the film is a tribute to gangster films. He has been quoted as saying that he loves Hollywood gangster films from the past and always had this in the back of his mind to make a film belonging to similar genre. In fact the film's script was lying with him for close to a decade but in between he made RAGHU ROMEO and MIXED DOUBLES.

Still, making a film with a background of gangs and the people who ran it never went out of his system. The outcome was a brilliant casting of actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Ranvir Shorey, Vinay Pathak, Saurabh Shukla and Neha Dhupia who came together to help Rajat realize his dream.

With the film being readied for release, Rajat Kapoor is now planning to move on and make films that would follow a different route and have ample doses of love elements.
