All issues between director Balu Mahendra and producer Sai Chidambaram have not died down yet.

After a settlement was reached over the former's outstanding salary for directing Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam, which ensured the movie's release, the two are now locked horns over another issue involving the same film.

The Regional Censor Board recently pulled up the director for issuing promos and trailers of Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam on various satellite channels without the mandatory 'A' certificate issued by them.

But, as it happens, this is the bone of contention between the producer and director.

Over the issue, Mahendra says, 'I wonder why the censor board is holding me responsible for the incident. Only the producer issues all the promotional materials. More over, when I saw that 'A' certificate was not displayed in posters, I even called up the producer urging him to display it more prominently'.

In that sense, Balu Mahendra has washed his hands off the whole controversy.

The producer, however, is keeping mum on the issue.

But with the Censors acting tough, and going to the press with the matter, more adverse publicity has come to the film.
