The Platinum Disc function of Okka Ammayi Thappa was held yesterday in Vijayawada. The event was attended by actor Sundeep, Chota K Naidu, director Rajasimha and others.

Speaking at the event, Rajasimha said, "As I was born in Vuyyuru, I am a Vijayawada guy. I have written many films in the past. As this is my first film as director, I am tensed. Sundeep Kishan believed in me and travelled with me for three years. Chota K Naidu's cinematography will surprise the audience. For many years, I couldn't translate this film on the celluloid because I didn't find someone like Chota K Naidu. This film is difficult to write and make. My wife Sasi Jyothsna has written three songs. Coming to the title, our intention is not to disrespect the pledge. The title only reflects the thinking of a child. Ali, Sapthagiri, Tagubothu Ramesh and Prudhvi are part of the cast. If Sundeep's performance is great, Nithya Menen's characterization is excellent."

Sundeep Kishan said, "The story takes place in the backdrop of a traffic jam on a Hi-Tec City flyover. There is a bomb out there and the crux lies in how the hero and the heroine find an escape route. We have made this film with faith in the story. It's a laugh riot throughout. It's like a thriller. We are holding an auction through which a girl who wants to go on a 5-km ride with me will buy the slot. The proceeds will be donated to an orphanage home."

Chota K Naidu said, "I like Viayawada a lot. I came here to shoot Kottha Bangaru Lokam. It's again for this film that I have come here. We worked hard for six months."

The film is slated for a June 10 release.
