The way Maruthi sees heroism would have been considered blasphemous in a bygone era. But at a time when fresh ideas are hitting the Telugu film industry, his style of filmmaking is fast gaining currency. He took everyone by surprise by stretching a seemingly small idea into a full-fledged screenplay - that was Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy for you. Directing a star hero for the first time, Maruthi is making Babu Bangaram with 'Victory' Venkatesh.

The teaser, released moments ago, presents Venkatesh Babu as an affable Babu Bangaram. 'Mother Teresa ye malli putti police aithe ela untundo, ade maa ACP Krishna (If Mother Teresa were reborn as a cop, she would be ACP Krishna),' says a sidekick, introducing to the audience a sensitive Venky who feels sorry for having to bash up a baddie. Giving Venky's fans a reason to cheer, Maruthi re-introduces the Bobbili Raja quirk of 'Ayyo ayyo ayyayyo..'

Nayanatara gets a glamorous screen presentation, but she is not spared, Maruthi-style. To Venky's 'Manasuki manasu, jali ki jali', pat comes Vennela Kishore's satirical 'Age ki age'. Having a comedian mock at the heroine's age is praiseworthy.

Light-veined comedy, Venky-style rom-com, Nayan's glitz, and some funny action - the film seems to have them all.

Richard Prasad of Swamy Ra Ra, Dohchay and Kottha Janta fame has brought out cool visuals. Gibran's album will be released soon.
