Say Priyadarshan and one gets an impression of the director kick-starting yet another comedy. However the filmmaker is trying to dabble in different genres and though his dramatic affairs like 'Aakrosh', 'Khatta Meetha' and 'Bumm Bumm Bole' didn't quite make the cut, he is being extra careful with his action thriller 'Tezz' and spending much more time in executing the film than he would do for his other 'quickie' ventures.

"Priyan Sir has made dramatic films like 'Viraasat' and 'Gardish' in the past but a cutting edge action thriller is a new genre for him as well," says a senior unit member, "Guess there is something after all that he hasn't done before even though many say that he has seen it and done all. He is taking his time to shoot the film. About 50% of the film is complete and the portions that have been shot are replete with stylish and sleek action sequences."

Shot mainly in London, 'Tezz' is said to be a remake of Japenese film 'Shinkansen Daibakuha' (1975) ('Bullet Train' in English) and involves high octane action on a speeding train. With a terrorism angle thrown in, 'Tezz' is a big budgeted affair that stars Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Mohanlal, Kangna Ranaut, Sameera Reddy, Boman Irani and Zayed Khan.
