Priyanka Chopra on Sunday (5th June) flew off to Kerala, where her grandmother's final rites were held. Chopra's maternal grandmother Madhu Jyotsna Akhouri, aged 94, passed away in her sleep on 3rd June.

The actress, who had been quite busy with her Hollywood project 'Baywatch', reportedly had called off all her shoots and work commitments to spend time with family. PeeCee and her family were in Kottayam (Kerala), the place from where her granny hailed from and also where the funeral was held. Sharing a pic on Twitter, Priyanka wrote, "Rest in peace Nani. #Kerala #FinallyBackHome.

Earlier, Priyanka had posted a pic with her Nani on her social networking site and wrote,"I will always remember you with that big smile on your face and the shine in your eyes.. Rest in Peace Nani . We love you."
