Dhanush's debut directorial 'Pa Paandi' aka 'Power Paandi' will be hitting the screens worldwide on April 14, 2017 for the Tamil New Year festival and also the birthday of Dhanush's mother Vijayalakshmi Kasthuri Raja.

The film stars Rajkiran in the lead role and he plays a film stunt artist in the film. But 'Pa Paandi' is not just about Stunt artists but also about aged people in general.

Rajkiran explains this in his exclusive interview to IndiaGlitz:

"The young generation sideline the aged people. That is not their mistake. It is our problem with our social system. The Government sends off an employee after he attains 58 years of age Politicians and big billionaires remain ageless. People always treat them with respect. But the middle class and poor people face the social menace of age. If a person completes 60, it considered he is done with everything and he needs to stay away from everything. Even family members ignore them. At that time they need soul a to share their feelings and emotions. This is what Dhanush has dealt with in the film.

Another important thing the film speaks about is the economic independence of old age people. Aged people of middle class and lower classes are sidelined mainly because they cannot fetch money anymore. So every person during their middle ages should save money for their future apart from spending for the education and marriage of their children. Only if they are financially stable during the last phase of their life, they will be respected by their children. Director Dhanush has conveyed these two messages in 'Pa Paandi'
