Rebel is a costly film that has larger-than-life sets and a spirited flashback episode. Director Raghava Lawrence seems to have thought that the climax should have a surprise element. Thus, he had 30 fighters flown in from Russia for the climax fight.

Talking about it, producers J Bhagawan and J Pulla Rao said, "The fight, which involved the main cast, was shot in a huge set. Thirty fighters from Russia feature in this extraordinary fight. The fight was choreographed by Ram-Lakshman."

The movie's next schedule would begin from May 1. By that month end, the talkie part will be completed. To be released in July, Larencce's music will be out in the market sometime in mid-June.
