'Rowdy Rathore' is all set to take a stupendous opening at the box office, what with the promos doing the trick, songs turning out to be successful and the film generating an all around positive buzz for itself. In fact it won't be wrong to say that it is after years that an Akshay Kumar film is generating such all around positive vibe for itself with nothing negative whatsoever coming from the detractors.

Though ever since the release of 'Singh Is Kinng', Akshay has seen some a couple of money spinners in the form of 'Housefull' and for that matter even 'Tees Maar Khan' along with moderate successes like 'Desi Boyz', 'Khatta Meetha', 'De Dana Dan', 'Kambakkth Ishq' and 'Thank You', still for each of the films, there was some baggage of the other that came along. However in case of 'Rowdy Rathore, there is a unanimous view around the film turning out to be bumper at the box office and what is a given is that this Prabhudheva film would fetch the best opening ever for an Akshay Kumar starrer.

Of course, for that a lot of credit also goes to Sajid Khan’s 'Housefull 2' which pushed the superstar's fortune in a big way by entering the 100 crore club. Now with the makers (UTV and Sanjay Leela Bhansali) pushing the film to the maximum, gaining an all around presence for itself and literally storming the theatres with a huge print count, 'Rowdy Rathore' has all going in it's favour.

The question now is - 'Will the film manage a 50 crore opening weekend for itself?'. Well, going by the buzz, at least 45 crores is the least that the film can expect for itself though with stretch, it could reach the magical mark as well. Also, with no competition whatsoever, the film should also sustain well right through the week, hence ensuring bountiful results. Both Akshay as well as Sonakshi can pretty much brace themselves for their second 100 crore runner in a row after 'Housefull 2' and 'Dabangg' respectively.
