Real 'Sultan' files case against reel 'Sultan'

Team 'Sultan' are in trouble. As per reports a case has been filed against Director Ali Zafar Abbas, lead actors Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma and others for cheating. The complaint has been filed by a Muzaffarpur-based resident, Mohammad Sabir Ansari alias Sabir Baba at the chief judicial magistrate`s court. According to Sabir's complaint, 'Sultan' is based on his life story. Salman way back in 2010 had heard Sabir's story and had promised to pay him Rs.20 crore as royalty if a film is based on it.

The case, which was presented before the CJM, Muzaffarpur, Ram Chandra Prasad, was transferred to the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, S K Tripathi. The next date for hearing has been fixed for July 26, 2016.

The case has been filed under various sections of IPC including 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
