Today is the birthday of the ageless beauty Trisha.

Born and brought up in Chennai Trisha was the title winner of Miss Madras before making her entry into Kollywood. Director Priyadarshan introduced her in 'Lesa Lesa' but her first release was 'Mounam Pesiyadhe' which was also the debut film of director Ameer.

Trisha was chosen to play the female lead in director Hari's 'Saamy' as Vikram's pair. and that turned out to be her first blockbuster. From then on there is no stopping. She has acted with almost all the star heroes of Tamil cinema except Superstar Rajinikanth.

She was part of Vijay's blockbuster 'Ghillie', Ajith's blockbuster 'Mankatha' and Suriya's super hit film 'Aaru'. She also played the memorable role of Jessie in director Gautham Menon's 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya' with Silambarasan. That character is still the muse for many young creators. Among the current lot of heroines, she is the only one to have acted with Kamal Haasan in two films- 'Manmadhan Ambu' and 'Thoongavanam'. She has also acted in director Mani Ratnam's 'Aaydha Ezhuthu'.

Trisha has also had a successful career in Telugu which started with the blockbuster hit film 'Varsham'. She acted with Mahesh Babu in 'Athadu', Chiranjeevi in 'Stalin' and Pawan Kalyan in 'Teen Maar'. She was the heroine of director Selvaraghavan's maiden Telugu film 'Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule' and director Prabhu Deva's debut film 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana'. Both the films were remade in Tamil.

Trisha turns 34 today but her beauty and charm are only increasing with age. She has also started doing matured characters that suit her age Her performance as a single mother in 'Yennai Arindhaal' was much lauded. She also played the role of a woman police officer and took part in fight sequences in 'Thoongavanam'.

The actress known for her straight forward and bold attitude has currently completed shooting for 'Mohini' and 'Garjanai' the remake of critically acclaimed Bollywood film 'NH10'. She has also completed 'Sathuranagavettai 2' in which she plays the lead role with Arvind Swamy,

Trisha is one of the few heroines in South Indian film industry to haveproved that age cannot be a barrier for a actress with sheer talent and perseverance to make achievements. Right from her initial days in the industry she has been dragged into many ugly controversies but none of them were capable of stopping her effervescent journey. She loves acting in films and she has even cancelled her wedding plans after a much publicized engagement not willing to give up acting after marriage. Trisha said she will keep acting until her last breathe in whatever role that comes to her. This is such a rare and commendable statement coming from an actress.
