The 15th Annual Star Screen Awards function was a star-spangled occasion taking place at MMRDA Grounds, Mumbai. Hrithik Roshan bagged the best actor award for ‘Jodha Akbar’ while the best actress award was won by Priyanka Chopra for her exceptional performance in 'Fashion'. Indeed, readers of Screen had chosen Akshay Kumar for 'Singh is King' and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for 'Jodha Akbar'.

Well, it was an astonishing speech by Akki, who said “It's Aamir Khan deserving this award for his fantabulous performance in ‘Ghajini’. This award is for Aamir, me and my people”. At the same time, Aishwarya Rai commented that she would accept the award on behalf of the entire cast and crew of ‘Jodha Akbar’.

‘Jodha Akbar’ walked away with the best film award. Ashutosh Gowarikar and Neeraj Pandey shared the the award for the best director for A Wednesday. Undoubtedly the award for the Best Music Director went to A.R. Rahman. He picked the awards for Best Music – ‘Jodha Akbar’. ‘Rock On’ bagged awards for Best Editing, Art Direction and Cinematography. The Best Supporting Actor was prized to Arjun Rampal in ‘Rock On’ and Shahana Goswami for the same. Farhan Akhtar and Asin Thottumkal bagged the awards for the best new face for ‘Rock On’ and ‘Ghajini’ respectively. ‘A Wednesday’ won the Ramnath Goenka Award.
