Imagine, if at all 'Leader' was to be remade in Tamil, how it would be to see superstar Rajinikanth reprising the lead role… Well, that's exactly what filmmaker Sekhar Kammula had dreamt of. Sadly, the plan didn't work out…

Recalling the time when he excitedly had considered remaking his hit film 'Leader' in Tamil with the legendary superstar Rajini as the hero, Sekhar Kammula said in an interview that he believes Rajini has the power to change governments. However the filmmaker didn't get a chance to get connected with Rajini despite after several desperate attempts. And apparently any future chances look feeble as well given the fact that Rajini these days is very cautious about his health and not willing to take work strain. "No one can reach the stardom which Rajinikanth has achieved over the years. He's an icon," quoted Sekhar Kammula, who still keeps his dream to work with that icon alive.

Currently Sekhar Kammula is busy with the Telugu and Tamil remake of Vidya Balan starrer 'Kahaani'.
