When Selvaraghavan teamed up with Silambarasan considered as the rival to his younger brother Dhanush Tamil movie buffs were highly excited. There was more good news relating to the teaming up as the duo's new project marked the reunion of music director Yuvan Shankar Raja and Selva a successful combo which rocked Kollywood in the last decade.

Selva and SIlamabarasan started shooting for the film a few months back and it was said that Silambarasan plays dual roles in the film with Catherine Thresa and Tapsee signing up for the heroine roles. The first look poster of the film titled as 'Kaan' which depicted Simbu as a devotee of lord Muruga with the holy ash smeared on his forehead created ripples in social media.

Months have passed after that and there has been no other news about 'Kaan' and now sources suggest that the film has been shelved due to financial crunch faced by the production side. This comes as a shocker as Simbu was telling that he was shooting for the film even recently.

We will wait for an official confirmation before drawing any conclusion and lets hope for a sudden magic to happen for the revival of the much-anticipated project.
