Superstar Rajinikanth's name being dragged to politics is an unending affair in Tamil Nadu. As Tamil Nadu is getting ready for the big assembly election on May 16, a high profile politician met the evergreen Superstar at his Chennai residence today.

However this meeting does not have anything to do with TN politics or the impending elections. The politician who called on Rajini is from Sri Lanka.

Ranjan Ramanayake, a Sri Lankan MP and a popular actor of the Island nation has confirmed in his Twitter page that he met the "one and only superstar of Indian cinema" this morning in at the latter's home in Chennai.

He has also clarified that it was a courtesy call and does not have anything to do with politics.
