Kathir, the brain behind some of the much-talked about love stories of Tamil cinema such as 'Idhayam', 'Kadhal Desam' and 'Kadhalar Dhinam', announced his comeback recently with a film titled 'Kodai Vidumurai'.

Srikanth was said to be the protagonist of the project. However, the actor has decided to opt out of the film, citing 'call-sheet problems'. "I find it very difficult to accommodate dates. So I am not in a position to do the film," he says.

The 'Roja Koottam' actor, who is currently busy with Shankar-directed multi-starrer 'Nanban' and 'Ethiri Enn 3', says, "What I said above was the only reason. That’s the only thing which forced me to stay out of Kodai Vidumurai."

Meanwhile, sources have it that Kathir is now on the lookout for a 'good choice' to replace Srikanth. The director is hopeful that he would be able to convince A R Rahman to score music for 'Kodai Vidumurai', courtesy the 'close rapport' he shares with the Oscar-Grammy winner.
