The actor has officially accepted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's proposal to become the state's brand ambassador.

A close hand reveals this information - Chief Minister Mamta Baneerjee had put the request to SRK when he was the chief guest at the inauguration of the 17th Kolkata film Festival last November.
