Excerpts…

Doing great as a successful dancer and choreographer, when and how the acting bug started biting?

Acting was always my passion…While we dance there’s quite a bit of acting that we do already…As we have to smile even if you have had the worst days at home…So that was a major part of my learning…

Do you want to be an actor or a dancer?

An Entertainer… I want people to know me as an entertainer even if I have to direct films…

Lucky to work with seasoned seniors like Seema Biswas, Konkana Sen Sharma and now with Anupam Kher, what do you learn from them?

Everyone has their own special skills…Seema Ji believes in a lot of homework, research, and patience, Where as Anupam Ji is one of the most disciplined actors…I’ve not worked too much with Konkana, but I have seen her work…she is fabulous…

From doing sensible films to acting in a commercial masala what is the difference?

You have to do all sorts of films as an actor to gain experience…Nakshatra is a commercial masala film, which has made me do a lot of action stunts which on the other hand has made me a very brave person…

What’s your role in the movie?

I play the main lead, who’s name is Ajay…He is an aspiring script writer & wants to make it big as a writer…Its about his journey and through his journey, the story plot becomes a thriller…

Which genre of films would you like to work in?

I want to work in every single genre possible…But for me it is essential that my producer should make money at the end of the day…

Who is your idol and why?

I completely idolize Shahrukh Khan, and there are 100 reasons for it…He is one of the most energetic persons I have met in my whole life... He is super intelligent and extremely hard working… He believed in himself and which is why he is here…

What will make you stand apart from Ranbir and Imran who are considered to be the top contenders for the Bollywood no.1 crown in future?

Both are on cloud 9 at the moment… I think both are brilliant…

What makes you confident about Nakshatra?

India is a very big country…At the end of the day…every film does find an audience of the film is good…I have worked very hard…And hopefully that pays off..

Who is the best dancer in b-town? Male and female

Hrithik…and Malaika Arora Khan

With whom would you like to do a salsa and die?

Penolpe Cruz

What next?

A satire called Shakal Pe Mat Ja and an English Film called Dad Hold my Hand.
