India’s most volatile elections of 2014 has being made into a documentary ‘Battle for Banaras’ by national award winner Kamal Swaroop (Om –Dar-ba-Dar fame). Sudhir Mishra will unveil its first look poster at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Made under the banner of Medient Studio’ documents the elections in Banaras.

The 90-minute "Battle of Benares" will bring to screen the engaging contest involving BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Congress' Ajay Rai among others and the political drama that runs parallel to it ahead of voting here on May 12.
