By receiving a 15 minutes standing ovation Director, Ritesh Batra’s touchy Lunch Box has had the critics praising at the ongoing 66th edition of Cannes.

Selected for the Critics Week section at Cannes the movie starring Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Nawauddin Siddiqui Lunch Box has received amazing reviews from international publications.

The best coming from Variety which has called the film "A feel-good movie that touches the heart while steering clear of expectation, "The Lunchbox" signals a notable debut from tyro helmer-scripter Ritesh Batra."

In attendance for the screening were prominent media persons, the cast and crew and producers of the film. The buzz for the film at Cannes was outstanding with people talking about it much before the screening.

ScreenDaily hails the film as "Poetic in parts with the odd, tiny pinch of magical realism, it’s a quietly confident production. The Lunchbox is a little more sad-eyed and soulful than you might expect at times, ruminating on matters of age and progress."

Lunch Box is produced by DAR Motion Pictures, Sikhya Entertainment, NFDC, ROH Films, ASAP Films, and Cine Mosaic and stars Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Denzil Smith
