The third installment of B-town most awaited franchise Dhoom is coming up by December 20. As we all hold our breath to see what Bollywood’s most popular and loved franchise has to offer this time.

The happy go lucky Ali played by Uday Chopra gets candid with indiaglitz to share some vrooming Dhoom 3 secrets and also opens up on Nargis, his turning into a Hollywood producer and much more..

You are back on screen with Dhoom 3 what new will us getting to watch in the film. How have you taken Ali’s character forward

Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif are new in the film. My character Ali is he same old one with his charm and innocence. People have loved Ali in the first two parts so we didn’t make any changes in him. Aamir brings a lot to the film. The very fact that he agreed to do the film has elevated he film to a higher level. He also knows cinema so well so whatever he touches turns to gold literally. The fact that he is doing the brand takes it much higher.

What did you get to learn from him

Aamir is very different from other stars there’s always a buzz about him. He looks naughty and talkative but on the other hand he is very quiet, secluded, reading a book. That’s why he goes a long way. He is a kind of thinker. He has great understanding of cinema and when you talk to him you come to know how intelligent he is. He is the kind who can be normal and still be a superstar. He has no airs about him. When you to talk to him you learn a lot and come to know about his understanding of cinema. It just goes to say about his superstardom.

You have worked with Aamir earlier how much has he changed or matured

I know him from the time he worked with my father in Parampara. I was assisting my father then. He has calmed a lot over the years. He was naughty and played pranks when he was young but never went to that level. The one who really plays pranks is Abhishek Bachchan, no one can beat him.

Apart from Dhoom you have not taken up any film. What are you doing besides Dhoom

My acting has taken a backseat, apart from Dhoom I am not doing any other film but apart from that I am concentrating on my production house. I launched my company in Los Angeles in March. I am producing two Hollywood films one is Grace of Monaco which stars Nicole Kidman, Tim Roth and Andre Penvernt and is directed by Olivier Dahan. The next one is The Longest Week Olivia Wilde, Jason Bateman directed by Peter Glanz.

What about acting in Hollywood, do you plan to shift your focus there now

Acting at the moment is pretty much behind the scenes. Maybe I will probably do a guest appearance for the fun of it. I have tried to keep it alive and I am quite okay with it. But there are more matters to handle like the structure, the financing the agency which is very difficult at the moment. It’s a different ball game. Does that mean that you have given up acting completely Acting has been my first love and I always wanted to act. It’s something I have always wanted to do. Maybe I will take up in the future.

How different has your experience as a producer has been over there

The film making process is much the same but the financing and structuring is a little difficult since I am just establishing myself over there. Here I have access to all the talent and stars are just a phone call away. It’s much easier and it’s an established banner here. I am setting myself up there and it will take time but I am sure I will conquer that soon.

What about Dhoom 4 is it in the planning

We have plans for sure but we will think later. We are working on the idea and stories at the moment.

Was it Aditya’s idea that you go and establish yourself in Hollywood

Yeah it was his idea. He said that my acting was not going places so I could go and establish myself there. It came from the conversation.

How has your equation grown today

We have always been close and he’s only one and half years old. Right from childhood we have been attached to one another. We are even closer now. H’s been there to advise as a brother as he has been more knowledge. He has been very long in this business and knows it by the back of his hand.

Does he bully you

A little bit and I think all big brothers do that to an extent. I allow him to do that. He’s a little strict but can also be fun. He does not have the need to be the big boss.

How was your relationships and bonding with your father

It has been very tough since he has passed away; my father was much more like a brother to me. We would often joke that he was my elder brother and Adi was more like a father to me. We would wake up early everyday and spend time chatting together every morning. He would often advice me to create relationships and grow with relationships. He would tell me that money will come and go away but these relationships will last long. He had a great relationship with everybody in the industry. They all still come to meet us.

What about your bonding with your mother

She’s the only parent I have now and we have grown together with the tragedy in our lives. I make more time for her and our relationship has only grown more ever since.

Your friendship with Tanisha was a known fact. Now that she is participating in Big Boss 7 what do you have to say about it

I don’t know. I have just landed in the city two days ago. I have not seen even a single episode o Big Boss 7, So I can’t really comment on it. I know she is in there but I cannot comment.

What have you got to say about your single status? We had heard that you were planning to tie the knot with Nargis Fakhri, what happened later

Love is always there but marriage is something that I waiting for to happen at the right time. No plans as yet but will announce when I really am ready to get married. My relationship with Nargis has always been spoken about but we are good friends. I don’t want to really comment on that.

What are the qualities you look for in a girl

There are so many kinds of girls but yes the girl I like has to be compatible and have a broader outlook on life. She should be intelligent and have a great sense of humour.

What about your Brother Aditya’s marriage, so much has been said
