As trailers go, the release of 'Vangaveeti's trailer had a curious prologue going for it. After being creatively silly by announcing the release date of the trailer to be on Gandhi Jayanti, RGV took to Twitter a day earlier to hail Pawan Kalyan, actor and leader of Jana Sena Party, as 'kaapu kaaase shakti', the phrase that is the tag line of the movie. Well, the message is not lost. There is a reason why RGV tweeted this: Pawan Kalyan is the kind of a superlative leader who is a very very kamma gaa kaapu kaaase shakti.

When the trailer released, a song, crooned to a bloody effect, threw up the last few words of RGV's tweet. The message is not lost, again. Making a biopic on an iconic personality comes with its share of excitement and controversies. When it's RGV doing it, it comes with a share of RGV-isms as well. You just can't help it.

The fact of the matter is that the trailer has clocked a million views. This is huge for a film with no star face.

Sandeep is playing the characters of Vangaveeti Radha and Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga, whereas Vamsi Nakkanti is playing Chalasani Venkata Ratnam. Vamsee Chaganti of 'Happy Days' fame is playing Devineni Murali. Devineni Gandhi is playing Kautilya, while Devineni Nehru is played by Shritej. Naina Gangualy is playing Ratna Kumari.

Produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar, it is written by Chaitanya Prasad and Radha Krishna. Lyrics are by Sira Sri and Chaitanya Prasad. Music is by Ravi Shankar.
