He started his career in Telugu.

But nothing came out of it. So he went to Tamil and he now comes back to Telugu as National Award winner.

Indeed, life has come a full circle for Vikram.

Vikram, whose bilingual Aparichitudu is getting ready under the direction of that whiz Shankar, is happy that he is coming back to where he started. And he is also hoping that his second innings is that much more lucky. But Vikram needn't worry as his dubbed films (recently Samurai was released to good openings) are doing brisk business. His Sivaputhrudu also did well.

Vikram, looking back on his career, is plain matter of fact. He doesn't wallow in the warm afterglow of nostalgia. "I did the role of Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s son in Bangaru Kutumbam. Then followed Youth, Chiru-navvula Varamistava and Thommidi Nelalu. But nothing really clicked,"he says without any trace of bitter feelings.

But more than this, Vikram has taken a momentous decision. He intends doing at least one Telugu film a year. "I am certain Aparichitudu will re-introduce me to the Telugu audience. This time I will win them over. I am sure," he says.

Atta Boy! That’s the spirit.
