It was almost like an assembly of Tamil film industry. ‘Moondram Pournami’ audio release function, held at Film Chambers in Chennai on January 2, witnessed a number of leading personalities of Kollywood. There were at least two dozen VIPs on the dais including K. Balachander, Rama Narayanan, and Jayam Ravi.

The audio was released by K. Balachander and received by actors Akshaya and Thejasri. Ram, the hero of the film, is an ENT doctor, presented rings to the producer and director, who have introduced him into film world.

Rama Narayanan blessed that ‘Moondram Pournami’ (Third full moon day) would run for five full moon days.

Jayam Ravi made a valuable correction to a term used by some of the speakers. It was said by someone that this was a small film. “No film is a small film. The film that fails to run is the small film”, said the hero amidst a deafening applause.

K. Balachander appreciated Jayam Ravi for such a comment. “You can say this as small budget film instead of small film”, opined the veteran.
