Pencil, starring GV Prakash Kumar and Sri Divya in lead roles, is a rom-com directed by debutante Mani Nagaraj. The film will hit the screens on May 13. Produced in Telugu by distributor-turned-producer G Hari, this film is touted as a youthful campus entertainer with thrilling elements. Mani Nagaraj is a protege of Gautham Menon.

GV has said that he hopes to get a break in Telugu with this film. "I am sure that I will get a break in Telugu. The screenplay will bring to mind one's school life and the beautiful memories associated with it. All the songs have been written by Sri Mani garu. 'Rende Kallu' is my favourite. The audio has been getting a great response."

This is yet another dubbed movie where the lead pair are seen in curiously youngish roles, at least so far as the stills suggest. GV Prakash Kumar needs to make a mark for himself in Telugu with this one.

The producer says that the audio and the trailer have received a very good response from the audience. "The songs, written by Sri Mani, are already a hit," he says.

Dialogues are by Sashank Vennelakanti. Sri Mani has penned the songs. GV has composed the music himself.

Sri Divya was earlier seen in films like Mallela Teeramlo Sirimalle Puvvu, Bus Stop, and Kerintha in Telugu.

Shariq Hassan, VTV Ganesh, Urvashi and others are past of the cast. Cinematography is by Gopi Amarnath. Editing is by Anthony.
