Countdown has begun as less than 10 days remains for the arrival of 'Bodyguard'. Come Eid and Salman would bring his film right in the middle of the week with a Wednesday release. Since this would mean that he would have the luxury of a 10 day long first week, expectations are now sky high around whether this would also translate into further records being created at the box office.

"There is no reason why this shouldn't happen", says a trade pundit, "Aamir Khan had set the standards for box office biggies with first his 'Ghajini' and then '3 Idiots' doing record breaking business. That was the time when even lifetime collections of 100 crores were unheard of, '3 Idiots' went on to fetch 80 crores in just one week. However Salman Khan's 'Dabangg' came and smashed this record by topping the 81 crores mark. With three blockbusters in a row (including 'Ready' and 'Wanted'), his popularity is at an all time high. 'Bodyguard' should comfortably fetch 100 crores plus in it's opening week."

Cherry on the cake is the fact that the film's storyline is absolutely fantastic and has found accolades in all South languages where it has released.

On contacted, film's producer Atul Agnihotri said, "Really, I am trying not to think too much around whether first week would be 100 crores, more or less. Yes, it is seeing the best possible release and at the best possible time. Everyone has done their best and now I am praying to God and hoping that it really does as well as you say."
