World premiere of Subash Ghai’s ‘Nouka Dubi’ at IFFI Goa

Bollywood showman Subash Ghai produced on screen magic of Rabindranath Tagore’s work ‘Nouka Dubi’ will have its World Premiere at IFFI Goa and will be the opening Film of the India Premier Section coming 24th of this month.

The bilingual in Hindi and Bengali is helmed by the current bong feeler Rituparno Ghosh, starring the topper from Bengal cinema Prosenjit Chatterjee. The movie will also have Jisshu Sengupta, Raima Sen and Riya Sen doing pivotal roles.

The entire cast and crew of the film will be present for the select screening that will include the Indian and world media marking the 150th anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.

Already a topic of buzz amongst festival rasikas, ‘Nouka Dubi’ is a short story from ‘Galpa Cuccha’ a collection of stories published in 1912.

The movie is slated for its worldwide release by the end of January 2011.
