Sharwanand, the actor on a roll, is poised to repeat his 'Express Raja' feat this Pongal, too. If his film withstood competition from 'Nannaku Prematho', 'Dictator' and 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' last year, 'Shatamanam Bhavati' could well do the same this time.

"Last Sankranthi, three big movies got released. This year, it's two big movies. I am not tensed as the audience will watch all the three movies," the soft-spoken actor says.

From what can be seen in the trailer, his character follows in the footsteps of his grandfather (played by Prakash Raj), to the extent of deifying him. "I am the legatee of Thatayya's ideals. My character is that of a youngster who believes that happiness should be spread to one and all," the actor elaborates.

Sharwa makes it clear that 'SB' has no new point. "I wouldn't say it's a new subject, a new point. It's a feel-good movie that will prompt you to call up your parents after you watch it."

Ask him about his director, pat comes the reply, "Since Satish Vegesna is a writer as well, he has got a lot of clarity over the script. With that he could complete the movie as he had visualized. I am confident that I will get good name with family audience after this movie."

Wasn't this story first offered to Raj Tarun and Sai Dharam Tej? "It was Teju who suggested to me that I do this film," Sharwa reveals.

If Anupama Parameswaran is that sweetheart in this film, and Jayasudha is that calm grandma, it's senior Naresh's character which is curious. "Naresh garu's character has come out very well. It's very difficult to essay such a role and in such a get-up," the young actor says.

He relishes the SPB number from the movie. "This is the first time that SP Balu garu has sung a number for me. Micky J Meyer has done a fantastic job. The title track is my favourite," he quips.

Ask this eligible bachelor about marriage, it's the same answer he said last year. "I am not thinking about marriage as of now. That will happen when it has to."

He may have slowed down over the last one year, but not in 2017. "There will be three films this year in total. The film in the production of BVSN Prasad garu is almost done. The release date will be announced soon".
