Rumors were abuzz that actress Shobhana, who was recently conferred the Padmashree, will be roped in to play actor Dhanush's mother in a Tamil movie.
The popular actress who had played the heroine in several Malayalam and Tamil movies has won the national award couple of times.
Sources say that she would play Dhanush's mother in a Tamil movie which would be a remake of Kannada hit Jogi to be directed by choreographer Raju Sundaram.
Shobhana recently opted out of Gowtham Menon's film in which she was supposed to play Sarath Kumar's wife.
With her contemporaries like Nadhiya, Revathy and Ranjitha graduating to do mom's role, Shobhana too is expected to join the race soon or latter.
