Akshay Kumar is growing too big for his boots. With the new found status of being a superstar in almost the same league as the Three Big Khans, Khiladi Kumar is taking his spoilt-sport image a bit too seriously. Recently on the sets of Anees Bazmee’s ‘Welcome’ Akshay had a fierce verbal spat (That almost ended up in fist fight) with his co-star Nana Patekar. Nana had to leave early that day to be by his ailing mother’s side but apparently Akshay deliberately came late just-to-show-off that he is a bigger star of the two.

Akshay has had a history of ‘differences’ with his co-stars like Suniel Shetty, Shahid Kapoor, John Abraham etc who’ve accused Akki of massively chopping their roles on the editing table. Off late, Akshay has been heard ranting about the Khans that they are not the only ones who sell and how he is better off without the Chopras and the Johars of the world. Yesterday I saw him belittling his co-star Upen Patel on the sets of Vipul Shah’s ‘Namaste London’.

It is no secret that Akshay Kumar is one of the most improved actors of his generation and that he has had a spate of hit films to his credit. But it would be foolish of Akshay to think that he is the be-all-and-end-all of the Hindi Film Industry. Maybe he should take a few tips from a certain Big B (Whom he considers his idol) about professionalism, punctuality and humility if he really wants to raise the bar.
