It all started as he picked out Christopher Nolan's 'Mementoes' from stores and it just took 120mins transcending his life in tinsel town. Yeah! Murugadoss' tongue wouldn't stop singing appraisals for Hollywood's versatile filmmaker Christopher Nolan as it has inspired him vividly. Couple of years back, Murugadoss adapted the unique and never-seen-before theme of 'Short Term Memory Loss' with 'Ghajini' that shot him to fame across far-flung corners of globe. Well, it was then we had our Mr. Perfectionist inviting him to remake it in Hindi with the same title 'Ghajini'. With the film hitting screens universally on December 25, Shah Rukh Khan has already zeroed down on this filmmaker. Some of the officials from King Khan's Red Chillies met him recently to discuss the scripts. However, things would be finalized by first week of January (once box office results of Ghajini are out). South Indian Actress Asin, who performs female lead in Ghajini, has assured to give her immediate dates if she is roped in for the project.

Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran who shares good rapport with Shah Rukh Khan (he cranks camera continually for the actor's flicks Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, My Name is Khan as well commercials of i10 cars) seems to have recommended Murugadoss.

Earlier, filmmaker had plans to gear up with Kollywood Actor Surya with a powerful script followed by Ghajini. But with offers laid by Shah Rukh Khan, he has changed his mind about narrating it for Shah Rukh Khan.
