Publicity is good, provided it doesn’t harm others’ creativity.

Recently, the posters of few upcoming movies like London Dreams, Aladin and others were pasted over the walls of Senapati Bapat Marg, in Mumbai. Actually the walls were a part of The Wall Project that showcases the paintings of several artists, to promote public art. Sadly, these paintings were plastered with the movies’ posters within 24hrs of its painting.

Enraged over these, the artists and several other art supporters expressed their protest through online, with the help of social networking sites. Following these Aladin’s director Sujoy Ghosh, actor Riteish Deshmukh, music composer Vishal Dadlani expressed their apologies through twitter. They even offered to pull down the posters and help in restoring the paintings collectively.

But what about the hard work that went into the paintings, we ask?
