Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Sanjay Singh, Anurag Kashyap and UTV Motion Pictures, ‘Udaan’ continues to shine in the international film festivals arena, this time with the 4th Annual Asia Pacific Screen Awards to be held in Australia on 02nd December. The film has been nominated in the Best Children’s Feature Film category amongst four other international releases.

Commenting over this honour, Vikramaditya said, “Asia Pacific Screen Awards is considered to be the Oscars of the East, and is the most prestigious awards platform in the APAC region. With Udaan being nominated in the Best Children’s Feature Film category, we couldn’t be more ecstatic that the young audiences and the jury from the Asia Pacific region have loved and appreciated the movie like the audiences in other major markets.

While, V. Amrita Pandey, Senior Vice President- International Distribution and Syndication, Motion Pictures-UT stated, “Udaan has been well received by audiences worldwide and is still doing rounds at prestigious film festivals and award events across the globe. The film very beautifully portrays a father-son relationship, where the audiences could resonate with their experiences in day to day life. Being nominated for the Best Children’s Feature Film category at one of Asia Pacific’s best film awards is a very well deserved achievement in itself.”

The other films in this category are ‘Boy’ from New Zealand, ‘Bran Nue Dae’ from Australia, ‘Shui Yuet Sun Tau’ (Echoes of the Rainbow) from Republic of China-Hong Kong and ‘Digari’ (The Other) from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
