Failure of 'Teen Thay Bhai' has turned out to be some relief for 'Thank You' since now audience have only one choice in the form of this Akshay Kumar starrer. Though the film's opening was patchy with Friday much below the mark, a gradual rise in footfalls had helped the film stabilise over the weekend. Thankfully for the film, the weekdays remained consistent as well which means there was no crash in collections, something which was the case in 'Tees Maar Khan'.

All of this meant that 'Thank You' managed to hold on and reached 30 crores mark as the first week came to an end. Is this the kind of opening that Anees Bazmee-Akshay Kumar team would have been hoping for? Certainly not. But considering the fact that the film was so badly panned by the critics and there was also competition from IPL, 'Thank You' has still managed to keep it's head above the water.

Since the film managed to stay afloat over the second weekend as well, it is now clear that 'Thank You' won't flop. Though producers have already made their profits, the distributors too can now hope for their investment being returned at the least due to two open weeks for 'Thank You'.

Till last week it was being questioned if this Anees Bazmee film would manage to cross the total of his 'No Entry' (which was in the vicinity of 45 crores). As things stand today, there is a very good chance of that happening. And by some stroke of luck, one can even expect 'Thank You' to hit the golden mark of 50 crores, though that does sound a little too stretched.
