With his good looks and well-built body, Sonu Sood had been a tough competitor for the macho Salman Khan in ‘Dabangg’. Now in the film's sequel Sonu is all set to do much better than before.

Remember 'Dabangg' ended with Makhi (Arbaaz Khan) asking Chulbul Pandey (Salman) whether Chhedi Singh (Sonu) has any brother who will come avenge them for killing Chhedi. Yeah, the sequel will take the movie forward from that and in this Sonu will be donning the character of Chhedi's twin brother.

Interestingly for the role the actor is said to take inspiration from a character which he played in a Telugu hit movie 'Dookhadu'. Quoted Sonu to sources, "For Chhedi Singh's role, I had observed my Bihari friends to get the mannerism right. For my role in Dabangg 2, a few characteristics will be taken from my Dookhadu role."

It seems he even discussed this with Salman and Arbaaz and they said to have considered his suggestion. However, things will be finalised only if it gels with the script.

Unlike the original where the story is set in village, 'Dabangg 2' will have an urban city background.
