Durex, the famous condom brand on the occasion of World AIDS Day has launched a revolutionary TV show - Durex MTV Rex Talk` campaign in association with MTV and roped in Bollywood`s hunk Ranveer Kapoor as its brand mascot.
It may be remembered that last year on the World AIDS Day Durex organized a campaign Do The Rex` with Ranveer Singh and was quite successful in promoting the message of safe sex through condoms. Briefing the media, Ranveer Singh said, "After Do The Rex, the highly impactful first phase of our association, I`m happy to reunite with my favorite condom brand Durex to present Rex Talk`."
Speaking about the show Ranveer Kapoor said, "The Durex MTV Rex Talk` is a first of its kind TV talk show that will indulge youth of the nation openly speaking on the Taboo` subject about Sex!"
He added, "The facilitation of an open and healthy discussion about sex amongst young people is important to combat the repressed status of sex in India because it`s the ignorance towards the issue that is cropping up problems amongst youngsters."
Aditya Swamy, Business Head of MTV, speaking about Durex MTV Rex Talk` said, "Indians do not talk about sex and are embarrassed to ask for condoms. The show will thus be encouraging people to come out in the open and talk about sex."
He added, "We have intentionally roped in Ranveer Kapoor because he is a youth icon and is identified for doing bold and daring sexy scenes in movies like GOLIYON KI RASLEELA RAM-LEELA and BAND BAAJA BAARAAT etc. Thus when Ranveer Singh will talk to the youth he will connect to the youth and encourage them to talk about the sex."
Nitish Kapoor, Managing Director, RB India, which manufactures Durex condoms, said, "As a global leader in condom production, Durex is duty bound to raise awareness around sex by demystifying the stigma attached to it."
