Jodha Akbar charms at BAFTA

Not very often do we experience such an appealing flick of unique genres on Indian Screens. Well, Ashutosh Gowariker astonished us by spelling a historic genre blended with entertainment. After mesmerizing Indian audiences, the film has won laurels enthralling juries and audiences at BAFTA awards in London.

The film was nominated in Best Foreign Film Category and if critics are to be believed, then this epical romance as great chances of emerging victorious. Indeed, if Jodha Akbar wins this award , it would be another prestigious honor after getting felicitated at at the Sao Paulo Film Festival and the Golden Minbar Festival in Kazan, Russia.

Mike Goodridge, Screen International conveyed his appreciation by saying "I loved it; I could have easily watched another hour!"

The final nominations list for the BAFTA awards will be announced on January 15th with the ceremony itself being staged at the Royal Opera House in London on 8th February.
