Akshay Kumar is not just a popular actor but a great martial-art exponent too. A brand ambassador for Special Olympics World Winter Games for the past three years, it's yet another feather in Akshay's cap now.

Akshay has been chosen the torch bearer for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games at Vancouver in Canada. Perhaps for the first time, that an Olympic Torch will be presented to an actor and not a sports person.

Akshay would be going to Canada for the games to be conducted between 30 January and 14 February 2010. Circles close to him say the actor is on cloud nine ever since the announcement was made.
