It is reported that the company took the step on being inspired by AB Corp and Reliance BIG Pictures’ film ‘Paa’ with which the company is associated. Kamesh Goyal, Country Manager & CEO, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, stated, “Our association with the film Paa inspired us to include another congenital disorder, Progeria, a severe genetic disorder causing accelerated aging.” The meet was held with a view to emphasize the importance of Child Plans and securing a child’s future. In ‘Paa’, Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of 13 year old affected by Progeria.

Commenting on this initiative, Abhishek Bachchan said, “It is important that every parent has an option to carefully plan out finances to secure their child’s future, whether it is for their education, helping them pursue their dream career or caring for their health. I think this is a great initiative by Bajaj Allianz to help families manage their finances for their children, especially in case of congenital disorders.”

Vidya Balan says, “Motherhood is one the happiest stages in a woman’s life, and she requires utmost care and support in these times. An insurance benefit that is available at a very low cost is like a blessing in disguise for those in the child planning stage. This small outlay can provide financial security for various congenital disabilities which are curable.”

The director of ‘Paa’ Balki had also shared his view thus, “I am happy that the film has already succeeded in creating awareness regarding progeria, which is one of the main intentions of the film. Bajaj Allianz has taken a step in this regard by including this disorder in the list of congenital disabilities. This is a welcome relief for all those who are in their advanced child planning stages.”

‘Paa’ opens up today worldwide in 700 screens worldwide across 20 countries including India, UK, US, Canada, UAE, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and many others. The film has music by Ilaiyaraaja, lyrics by Swanand Kirkire and cinematography by PC Sreeram.
