Birdies shared that the director has always been fascinated by Marilyn MonroeÂs life and wanted to make a film on her since a long time, but things did not fall into place. Now, he is completely ready with the subject of this new film.
For the film, Bhandarkar collected lots of gyaan about Marilyn Monroe, digging out facts and watching several documentaries about her. He said to have approached Kareena to play the lead role only when he was sure that he could translate every aspect of his research into a story.
As of now, the filmmaker is on a look out for the filmÂs leading man.
