When it is Mani Ratnam, actors tend to go out of their way to impress the ace helmer. Not just that, in fact they have the gust to perform their acts to T when the project is as promising as ‘Raavan’.

Here’s what our birdies picked from the pages of ‘Raavan’ shooting. The scene involved Govinda, who plays Hanuman in the film, doing some action stunts. The shooting was then going on in the chilling locales of Ooty. The shoots were said to be very taxing as the team used to start at 8pm and end at 6am the next day.

Now the stunts had been quite difficult, where Govinda had to climb trees and then swing from one branch to another. Mani had insisted Govinda to use a body double to do the scenes, however being a game for it the actor brushed off the idea. Still, out of the 12-15 scenes for only two scenes the body doubles were said to be used.

Hmm, but going by the heavy built of the actor one can imagine how tough it was for him to do the stunts. Nevertheless, Govinda surprised all and everyone on sets was overwhelmed by his performance and clapped every time he did a shot.

On this, the actor remarked was one of the more difficult shots he had delivered in a long time.

We bet it surely was!
