Based on the Chittagong uprising of the 1930s, Ashutosh Gowariker's ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ is going to bring forth a never-before pair – Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.

Mostly shot in the locales of Goa, ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ is expected to hit the screens on December 3 this year. The film is co-produced by Sunita A. Gowariker, Ajay Bijli and Sanjeev Bijli and presented by Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Pvt. Ltd (AGPPL) and PVR Pictures. While the lyrics have been penned by Javed Akhtar, music is by Sohail Sen.

Unlike his previous films, Ashutosh is keen to keep the film’s length quite short, that is, just two hours. While his earlier project ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ bombarded at box office owing to its long length, looks like the director has taken time management lessons.

‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ is said to be inspired from ‘Do And Die’, a book by Manini Chatterjee. The film also features Vishakha Singh, Samrat Mukherji, Sikander Kher, Maninder Singh, Feroz Wahid Khan and Shreyas Pandit.

At a press meet held recently, the producers stated that the film is an inspirational one and it should be watched by the current generation. They further said that it is very much in line with their philosophy to touch, move and inspire audiences through the language of films.
