As this piece is being penned, 'Ra.One' is already in the process of history being re-written. The film sees an early release tomorrow and is all set to see phenomenal collections despite Diwali keeping a section of audience away from theatres. Having said that, it would be interesting to see if the opening day record of 'Bodyguard' (at 21 crores) gets broken or not, early indications (based on advance booking and audience trend) indicates that this is pretty much on cards.

Nevertheless, the film will have the biggest second day ever in the history of Bollywood and from this point on there won't be any looking back. Such great expectations and definite results have pretty much ensured that this massive dream of Shahrukh Khan has indeed been realised with fastest 100 crores in collections pretty much in cards. While 'Bodyguard' took home 110 crores in it's extended nine day long weekend, 'Ra.One' is now all set to leave that number way behind once it's extended first week collections would be out.

It won't be surprising though to see the way 'Ra.One' would opened at the box office. After all the film's promotional and marketing drive has managed a sustained run for over nine months, hence ensuring that Shahrukh actually managed to enter everyone's household at a frantic pace. Record number of prints being released and screens booked was also fantabulous and simply unprecedented which has turned into the kind of phenomenon that no one could dream of till two years ago.

As a result of this riot being master minded by Shahrukh Khan, other two releases of the week - 'Damadamm' and 'Tell Me O Kkhuda' - seeing an early release (on Thursday) would have to expectedly play second fiddle. There are minimal number of shows at which the two films are being released (2-3 shows per multiplex) which means in terms of collections these films won't even be comparable with 'Ra. One'.

Also, unlike last couple of years where 'Acton Replayy' was still a challenge for 'Golmaal 3' while 'Main Aurr Mrs Khanna' lost out to combined force of 'All The Best' and 'Blue', both 'Damadamm' and 'Tell Me O Kkhuda' are basically competing with each other. Starring Himesh Reshammiya and Esha Deol respectively, both films would have to wait for 'Ra.One' euphoria to settle down before they come on their own.
