Ranbir Kapoor (R.K.) most awaited 'Rockstar' has arrived. Everybody wants to know whether Ranbir Kapoor - the youngest from B-town oldest family has delivered the true rockstar which Hindi cinema was waiting for years.

There are no doubts about the potentials of R.K. He has the exuberance of Shammi Kapoor, the innocence of Raj and the sweet charming boyish looks and timings of Rishi. It is in his blood and the marvelous actor in him was waiting for the right opportunity to explore his virgin versatility.

Thankfully Imtiaz Ali has been able to spot from his directorial eye and explored it to potential in 'Rockstar'.

In 'Rockstar', Ranbir has scaled to new heights as an actor which his contemporaries who are just a single expression heads will never be able to reach in their life.

From a simpleton (Saawariya) to salesman in (Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year) to a lazy bump who doesn't know what to do (Wake Up Sid) to a smart shrewd player and politician (Raajneeti) Ranbir has proved that he is an exceptional leading man and a solid performer who has this unique ability to absorb the character skin and we start liking him without any invitation.

His commanding screen presence exhibits charisma which is underlined by high energy unpredictability combined with spontaneous ease making him a performer to applaud.

In 'Rockstar' Ranbir has outdone himself and entered a new phase in his career which will have maximum illustrations from the movie. Truly Hindi cinema's prince charming seems to be in a giving mood in Rockstar, having the hunger to please his audiences.

For example in the scene where he pretends to be broken hearted and rejected in love, Ranbir gives a stand out performance thanks to his spontaneous innovations.. His typical walk and the way he poses and looks back are true indicators of how rich talent this actor posses.

He has gone through training and learned guitar for the role and it is evident when he plays and moves his fingers on the instrument.

In his Rockstar avatar in those long hair, moustache, pajamas, denims and jackets pointing the middle finger, R.K. cuts an imposing image.

For a man like Ranbir who is born in the Kapoor family a dream launch was knocking at his doors when he entered 20s but he struggled and after learning the art gave his acting a shot; that's the reason his debut in 'Saawariya' was an instant pleasure for all though the film tanked Bollywood got a bundle of talent in Ranbir.

Ranbir childhood was not very ideal and was the victim of differences between Neetu and Rishi which sometimes became violent.

Thanks to Neetu, Ranbir didn’t had anything against anyone in his family and in 'Rockstar' Imtiaz gave him the opportunity to show the gamut of emotions in his interpretation of 'Jordan' (perhaps the troubled childhood might have helped) to portray a frustrated, angry, dejected lover who is in self destruction mode spree but takes care of not corrupting his followers by taking into drugs and sex.

Ranbir is both slick in his charm as a lover and worthy as the angry, devastated lover who is scared of losing his beloved.

Ranbir against all odds has lived up to the pressure and has come out triumphed as an exceptional talent in the time of crisis where we have a dart of scripts and senior actors who have established there markets are unwilling to leave their comfort zones.

Imtiaz as a filmmaker may not scaled new heights in 'Rockstar' but by casting Ranbir and giving him the opportunity to show his acting heroics, Imitiaz has finally given Indian cinema's its true Rockstar which everyone was waiting for...
