Even though the team of 'players' can be now seen executing a mega gold heist in the Abbas Mustan thriller, there was an early 'imprisonment' of sorts for them when they reported for the shoot. The only difference here was that instead of suffering from it despite the fact that in the name of a hotel room, what came their way was a room that measured 8X8.

"This was during the North Pole shoot of the film early this year," informs Abbas Burmawala, "A major portion of the film has been shot there as we wanted a scenic, snow filled, panoramic view for our action thriller. North Pole is a virgin territory though and there are no hotels per se. This means that the entire cast had to leave any desires for luxurious suites behind and instead get crammed in a small room that measured just eight feet and pretty much resembled a prison cell."

For the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Bipasha Basu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sonam Kapoor, Sikandar Kher and Omi Vaidya, it turned out to be a unique outing indeed. This means that instead of complaining, they actually savoured the 'prison cell' experience.

Says Mustan Burmawala, "Our fears were pretty much proven unfounded when the actors even joked that for all the wrong deeds they were doing for this gold heist in reel life, it was a well deserved prison sentence they were getting in real life."

'Players' releases all over on 6th January.
