Akshay Kumar gears up for solider avatar

For his forthcoming ‘Thuppakki’ remake director AR Murugadoss has got down to prepare the ground and get ready his hero Akshay Kumar for the Hindi version.

The filmmaker is keen that Akki plays his role as that of an army captain perfectly; not only performance wise but also in appearance.

Murugadoss has asked the Action King to tone down his body and lose some weight to look fit and trim for his reel character. Not only that, Akshay has to look even younger, than his normal age.

"Akshay is one of the fittest heroes in India. But to play the soldier, we want him to be slightly fitter. His shoulders should become more streamlined and his frame should be slimmer. Akshay has the physique for the role. He just needs to lose a little more weight and become slightly sharper around the edges," quoted Murugadoss in an interview.

Besides this, Akki will go in for a new hairdo - a crew-cut hair-style, to round up for the solider look.

The shooting of ‘Thuppakki’ remake is said to start on 20th Dec, according to some sources.

Well, in ‘Ghajini’ we were presented with a completely new Aamir Khan. Now let’s see how the ace filmmaker transforms our Khiladi Kumar for this one...
