First 100 of 2009 ‘Ambari’

The first 100 days film of four months of 2009 Kannada cinema industry ‘Ambari’ starring Yogish and Supritha in the debut direction of Arjun has collected net profit of Rs.5 crores and it has completed 100 days in 12 centers in Karnataka heading for 150 days says director Arjun addressing the media on last Saturday. My dream materialized only through hard work and support of the team. It has put me in happy position. I have carried out my responsibility very well said Arjun.

In the absence of main contributors like hero Yogish, editor of the film Deepu S Kumar, cameraman Satya Hegde, music director V Harikrishna, stunt director Ravi Verma, character artist’s director Arjun said the CD and cassettes of 3 lakh CD and 80000 cassettes are sold by Akshay Audio. Arjun at one point of time of his address remembered the cobbler he had seen near Dollars Colony and a girl inspired him to write the script for ‘Ambari’. The same scene is also kept in the film and reaching out to the poor segment of the society helped in getting noticed widely he pointed.

In the days of recession, IPL cricket, hot summer and elections the film ‘Ambari’ clicked is what makes me feel proud says Arjun. At this juncture he made a point that the sheer hard work only provides this kind of success. He has done lot of home work for this and he urged his colleagues to inculcate it.

Actress Supritha, petrol Prasanna, one of the two producers Suresh and dance director Murali expressed happiness with the success of ‘Ambari’.

While Ambarish reached 100 days in the last week, the Ramesh Aravind fourth directorial venture ‘Venkata in Sankata’ completed 75 days, Sudeep starring in double role and his direction ‘Yee Shathamanadha Veera Madhakari’ reached 50 days. The other films ‘Kannadadha Kiran Bedi, Josh and Savari’ are also up to 50 days among the 50 plus films released in the last four months.
